In Giver of Life, Dr Williams offers a profound and accessible exploration of the Holy Spirit, framed through the lens of the Nicene Creed. With theological depth and space for personal reflection, the book invites readers to rediscover the Holy Spirit as the one who enlivens, transforms and sustains the Church and every believer.
Dr Williams played a pivotal role in the establishment of St Mellitus College, working alongside Bishop Graham Tomlin and Dr Michael Lloyd to bring the College’s original vision into being. Over the years, she has held a number of key academic and leadership roles and has become a widely respected voice within the Church. Her commitment to the flourishing of women in ministry, and her wide-ranging experience across the Anglican Communion, continue to shape her theological and pastoral contributions.
Speaking about the book, Dr Williams says: “The Nicene Creed makes it clear that the Holy Spirit is not an afterthought in the life of God, but an essential part of the way in which God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, invites us into relationship and into transforming hope.”
To celebrate the book launch, St Mellitus College has released an exclusive interview with Dr Williams, offering deeper insight into the inspiration behind the book and her hopes for how it might serve the Church today. The full interview can be read on our LinkedIn page.
Giver of Life will be published on 17 July 2025 and is available now for pre-order through major retailers.
