Key Information
The Non-Accredited programme is offered exclusively by St Mellitus College.
Students who simply want to enjoy our theology programmes without assessment or accreditation can enjoy sitting in on teaching at undergraduate level by auditing mid-week classes for selected first year/certificate level modules on Foundational Theological Practice and Biblical Studies at each of our centres. Please note that we do not offer the opportunity to audit modules delivered at independent student teaching weeks or ordinand residentials.
In the academic year 2023-24, there is also the opportunity for students who have done some prior theology to engage at depth as non-accredited students. We are offering three individual modules at BA level for single auditing: New Testament Studies: Revelation (Term 1), Mission and Apologetics in Contemporary Culture (Term 2), Ecclesiology (Term 3). Each module consists of a 10-week course on Tuesday mornings (9.30am-1pm) at our South West teaching centre in Plymouth (PL4 8HF). To sign up for one or more of these modules, please email southwest@stmellitus.ac.uk
N.B. If you later go on to study an accredited undergraduate programme with us, you would repeat any audited teaching you have previously engaged with as relevant to your chosen programme of study. This is because you would need to complete it for credit by accessing all teaching, including Teaching Weeks, and completing all the assignments.
