Trustee

We are seeking trustees with insight, experience and faith-driven enthusiasm to help shape and direct an exciting and innovative TEI at a key moment in its life as it seeks to serve the Church and raise up a new generation of leaders.

The SMC Board are looking for new trustees and welcome expressions of interest from those who might wish to offer their skills and experience to serve the college.

Trustees are responsible for the overall governance, strategic direction and financial sustainability of St Mellitus College, ensuring it delivers its charitable objectives and Christian mission effectively and lawfully. We are seeking trustees with a commitment to the values, vision and Christian ethos of St Mellitus College,  a sincere, deep and mature Christian faith and life of prayer and worship, Strategic thinking, sound judgement and integrity and who support the training of men and women alongside each other for ordained and wider ministry and, St Mellitus College's commitment to Generous Orthodoxy which trains ordinands in such a way that all mainstream traditions of the Church have proper recognition and provision within the training. 

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who can bring diverse perspectives to the Board, and from those with significant or professional experience in areas such as Finance, Higher Education, governance, safeguarding, HR, leadership or fundraising.

Trustee appointments are at the discretion of the Members of the Board, in consultation with the Chair.
