St Mellitus for me is a community of grace, generosity, and good humour.
Lena offers academic support to all students and particularly those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and mental health challenges. She is based in London but works with students of all pathways across the four centres. Her background is in special education, counselling and theology – all of which she combines in her role at St Mellitus.
Lena is passionate about holistic living, orthodox faith, community, encouragement, integrating academic learning with spiritual transformation, and all the good things in life – cycling, flowers, coffee!
Research Project
Lena’s doctoral research looks at concepts of hope and the experience of physical, chronic pain. It is a multi-method investigation at the intersection of theology, psychology and medicine.
