Education
- PhD Divinity, University of Aberdeen (ongoing)
- MA Christian Theology, Durham University (2019)

Research Projects
Jack’s current doctoral research is focused on how the theology of Karl Barth might be able to critically and distinctively engage with Generation Z. Undertaken under the supervision of Professor Tom Greggs at the University of Aberdeen, Jack’s work offers a reading of Karl Barth that seeks to highlight how the likes of Barth’s theological method, the implications of the election of Christ and the mystery of God might be a fruitful contribution within the postmodern landscape of Generation Z. Ultimately, this contribution, Jack argues is only recognised and heard within the context of the church. The title of Jack’s work is: ‘The Void at the Centre: The critique of the theological method in the theology of Karl Barth as a theological engagement with Generation Z’.
